Our customer had found her forever home, but securing it seemed a pipedream. As a young, single professional with multiple incomes, she had assumed borrowing would be limited for her and affordability an issue for us.
Challenge:
The customer had four income streams and was about to embark on a fifth, which had a probationary period to complete before becoming permanent. Time was of the essence too; the vendors needed to move quickly, looking to complete before our customer’s probation period was finished.
Solution:
We knew the customer well; we’d been with her through the roles she had previously secured. As this one was in a similar industry, we were confident that probation would be passed and so affordability wouldn’t be an issue. Handling all aspects of the application in branch meant we worked in partnership with valuers and solicitors quickly, which helped to make the final credit decision and port her existing mortgage. With the customer initially believing her situation would put any forever home out of reach, she was delighted to complete and move into her dream property.
