We have been clients of Handelsbanken Derby since mid-2020, and I can honestly say that it is by far the best banking experience I have had. 

Having lived outside of the UK since 2017, we were faced with a real challenge when looking to return in 2020, with the intention of purchasing a property. Traditional UK high street banks that we had approached refused to consider any mortgage applications due to us not having a UK credit history since 2017. We felt let down and that our bank just saw us a number in a system. 

This is when we were personally recommended and introduced to Handelsbanken. They have a totally different way of approaching banking.

Our circumstances were somewhat unique in the sense that we had to manage everything through Skype while we were out of the country. Since day one of talking with our Account Manager, we instantly had a great feeling. He was personable, approachable, understanding and truly customer-focused. He took the time to understand our personal circumstances and for the first time (with any bank), we felt like we were truly valued customers.

Even since the completion of the property, our account manager has always stayed in contact with us, with genuine interest to see how we are as well as to see if there is anything else that the branch can do to help us.

It goes without saying that I cannot recommend Handelsbanken highly enough to anyone.
